I have only seen it called when multiple horses are pinballed. If it's two horses involved nothing is usually done.

It is ridiculous and I feel bad for Signore whose horse lost any chance after the 1 wiped him out by turning out into the 2. I think Signore gets fined for the disallowed claim (not positive) which he had no shot of the stewards sustaining as they never take action on it. I find it strange that you can mug someone out of the gate but the rules are different for the rest of the race.

Hooray for overbet chalk desperately holding on at the wire. What fun.

It seems to happen at a much higher rate these days. Very mediocre overbet chalk barely winning. It's real frustrating.
