I was shocked to learn they are taking betting in the US, but they are, and it's great. Will be very interested to see what value is offered in pools v. on-track.

I like City Style and Zazou for Cup, Sprint is wide open, and think a local could even land it.

How's the weather out there?

Of course I can google it but since you're there figured I'd ask you first.

Good luck!

Oh and I am very very happy that TVG already has the races up cause that SUCKED waking up the other morning and it was already race 4 (I had looked repeatedly the night before).

edit - Forgot to say it's too bad we can't bet on all the races.

R7 - Masthead
R8 - The Comedian, Mr. Raffles and Jamal Malik
R11 - Eclair Flyer

Just for the hell of it.

Well I had this anyway... thank you Ato and Mr. Big...

May. 20, 2012 03:09 AM CC04C8017019 Singapore 9 $1.00 EX 5,8 / 2,3,5,6,8 $8.00 $105.70

Did not use Chinchon anywhere and am really really surprised at that one (that he won, not that I didn't use him).

How much did that suck for you with City Style being scratched at the gate?

KRISFLYER INTERNATIONAL SPRINT
JOCKEY QUOTES

Barend Vorster – Winner - Ato - I had the perfect trip, the only decision was whether to go inside or outside when I challenged. It is just fantastic to have won this race, I’m so very happy

Stephen Baster – 2nd - Mr Big – He’s got the biggest heart, but he slipped at the start trying to jump too quickly. Without that I am not saying he would have won, but he’d have gone even closer.

George Baker – 3rd – Secret Asset – He broke OK but couldn’t quite lay up with the leaders. I had a really lovely run around the bend, a gap opened, and he ran on well for me. He’s better on a faster surface, but really, he’s run a blinder.

Oscar Chavez – 4th - Captain Obvious – He has run very well, no complaints at all.

Kieren Fallon – 5th - Krypton Factor – I knew I was in trouble from the gate when the rain came. He just can’t act on this ground

Joao Moreira – 6th - Better Be The One – The draw killed him, I had to use too much horse up early to try and get a position, and he didn’t finish.

Gary Carroll – 7th - Invincible Ash – I had a good trip and she travelled well, but when I asked her she never picked up on the ground. We know she needs fast ground and the rain came at the wrong time.

Jose Verenzuela – 8th - Perfect Pins – He didn’t handle the turn, and couldn’t get round the bend, he lost too much ground

Danny Beasley – 9th - Yin Xin – He pulled up lame. He’s had issues this week.

SINGAPORE AIRLINES INTERNATIONAL CUP
JOCKEY QUOTES

Olivier Doleuze – Chinchon – Winner – I can’t believe it, I’m still up in the air. I’ll come down to earth in a day or so. It means an awful lot to me to win this race in Singapore. I was one of the early ones to come out of Europe to ride here, which makes this special. I had a good trip and he improved his position when I asked him, and he finished really well.

James McDonald – Zaidan – 2nd – He’s run a great race, but he didn’t quite see out the 2000m here but he would do on faster ground.

Jose Verenzuela – Flax – 3rd – He’s run his race, he broke well and kept going all the way to the line. The others were just a bit too strong at the finish.

Andreas Suborics – 4th – Zazou – Disappointing, as I was in a good position, had a good trip, but he just didn’t pick up for me.

Alan Munro – El Dorado – 5th – He’s run a great race, done himself proud. He’ll be spot on for the Gold Cup later in the year.

Danny Beasley – New Rose Wood – 6th – She ran to the best of her ability to the 200m then the class of the others kicked in. If you asked me at the start of the day where she’d finish and I would have said midfield and that’s about where she finished.

Felix Coetzee – California Memory – 7th – He wasn’t on his game today. I don’t know if it was the ground or what. He’s been on the go for a while.

Gerald Mosse – Dream Peace – 8th – She was going OK, but she got tightened up on the bend, lost about five lengths, and couldn’t recover from there

Brett Prebble – Thumbs Up – 9th – He’s a big long striding horse and he was never acting on this surface. It was loose on top with the rain that fell and he lost his confidence going into the turn, and that was that.

Azhar Ismail – Speed Baby *– 10th – We were struggling at the 900m mark and first time blinkers seemed to throw him a bit.

Opie Bosson – Waikato *– 11th – He travelled nicely to the 800m where I put him under a bit of pressure but he was gone by the 600m. He wobbled up the straight and he just wasn’t happy in the ground.

Mickael Barzalona – City Style - Scratched at start.

I know you were very high on the filly (well okay mare) but yes, that you were all over Ato as well and the 50/1 play was crazy awesome.

Congrats and applause to you for pointing out repeatedly that the locals are a tough bunch.
