From me, too, VolJack! Of course, at 1962nd place, I am really breathing down your neck...

Probably safe to assume he did get off him as he said he might.

He does keep answering the bell after all the abuse. I guess there is something to say for that.

Cheers to everyone who had Ron the Greek.

God, I was thinking of Rock Hard Ten (the person, not the fine horsie) during the latter part of the race... once I knew Gladding was done.

As far as capping, today was just awful for me but that's getting to be a way of life.

Is PFR alright?

Thanks, I really don't know what I am doing in that contest.
I wasn't crazy about the restricted group of horses there was to pick from.

I lucked up with the News Pending pick, I thought he would win one of the KY Poly derby preps. It wasn't that I thought he'd run 2nd in the FoY.
I have been a big fan of his since I saw him work at FT Tim last May.
I needed him to break his maiden in his 2nd career start at 12:1 to win a NHC contest at KY Downs. That didn't work out but, I knew he would turn out to be a nice one.

I'm changing the way I play multi race wagers. I will now include all D O'neil horses. He seems to always deliver at a price. Anyone else agree?

I'm trying to get my boyfriend interested in horse racing and so I had him make a stable. He took News Pending too and is now totally kicking my butt and in the top 100.

My husband's wagering theory is limited to, "Pick the horse whose name sounds most like a super villain." Which worked out very well for him in the 2006 Blue Grass.

I wish I'd nagged him to do a stable, too- it would have been fun to see who he picked, using his theory.

Did Joel Rosario comprimise his horse Gladding to destroy Ultimate Eagle chances? Is there bad blood between Rosario and Pedroza? It kind of continued today during the 7th race where they each were muscling with each other down the stretch on the rail.

Kurt Hoover, on HRTV, mentioned that those two riders got into it after the race...and even the two trainers (Cerin and someone else) got into it.

Earlier in the meet - Rosario came out into the path of Pedroza and dropped him. You can see it at 1:15 in...

Rosario's ride on Gladding (taking it to UE on the front end) in the Big Cap made no sense at all. Pedroza is supposed to be a tough old guy. Maybe a fued will come of this, I don't know.

Did not hear about the trainer incident but interesting events for sure. They went super fast in the Big Cap going :22.2,
:44.4 1:09, 1:34. Rosario knows better than that to hook up that fast which tells me he pulled a Jerry Bailey - Smarty Jones routine.

I did read in the DRF a couple of days before the race, Sadler saying they made a mistake with Gladding in last years race and tried to take him back.
He said they were going to let him do his thing this time.

What I find interesting is after the horse goes down Rosario doesn't even look back.

Makes me sick to read this. I didn't take my own advice and it cost me dearly.
