Congrats Matt, what a game. Nothing like tired and bloodied Hockey players.

Still a long way to go here. Really a great game on both sides, didn't have the feel of a 1-1 game.

i saw an article the other day, during the first round, where a writer called the caps/bruins games 'boring' because it was low-scoring. seriously? that round, and this one, has been anything but boring to me. you know something can happen at any time, with players working their tails off to make a difference. he's probably one of those who likes high-scoring, zero defense football games. i hate those games!
i think he was a yahoo sports writer, so that probably explains a lot.

Most of those guys have no clue. He probably didn't even watch the game and saw 1-1 score and wrote an article assuming that it was a boring game. The only thing that game didn't have last night was a lot of whistles slowing down the pace of the game. Otherwise it was a well played exciting game, that guy had no idea what he's talking about. I sat at the end of the couch for the last 4 periods.

On a side note, I'm kind of suprised that the series hasn't been very chippy. Not a lot of pushing and shoving after the whistles. It's almost like these teams have tremendous respect for each other.

i'm sure part of the lack of pushing and shoving is no one wants to get a penalty and give the other team a power play. it's so close and even, the slightest mistake can cost you more than a goal, it can cost you the game. i love their self-control, regardless of the physicality.
been a great post season this year imo. last year i was so sick about the sweep by tampa that i didn't watch another game. been far more enjoyable for me this year.

A Caps fan tried to take a shot of whiskey to feel better last night but it was blocked by Ryan Callahan.
