Wow Devils blow a 3-0 and end up losing a game that they seemed to dominate. (oh yeah and fatty got yanked during the game

what a joke. backstrom, a game suspension. neal, the same amount for 'charging' giroux. asham, a whole four games. wow! yeah, that'll teach him...

4 games for Asham is a crime. He cross checked Schenn in the throat and then punched him when he was down. I would bet alot that Asham isn't a first time offender either.
I'm really starting to believe that Shannahan is spinning a wheel when it comes down to giving games.

and neal only got one, and he is a repeat offender! sat a few last year, for a head shot. but he and backstrom (not a repeat offender) get the same suspensions??

Honestly I feel like Backstrom should have gotten more. I am using the Hagling and Shaw hits (which I honestly didn't think were flagrant) as the bar. Those guys got 3 games. Neal ran 2 guys the other night and Backstrom had a pretty serious stick foul. I just don't understand the logic. Let's see what Torres gets for running Hossa (it was a very similar hit as Neal's), I'm guessing it has to be at least 3 because there was an injury. But the lack of consistency has been appaling.

i just know from watching backstrom for the last few years that i don't remember him ever being dirty, or ever getting suspended. and he has had some head shots come his way. but yes, the lack of consistency is ridiculous-as is the lack of real suspensions for some of these hits.
but like i said before, crosby's back on the ice, and concussions and the like are on the back burner right now.
