Why in the world would this cost Obama votes any more than past off-duty scandals in other government orgs cost other presidents votes? Obama isn't in charge of the Secret Service.

I think the bigger deal is that these off-duty FBI and military guys had things like Obama's itinerary out in their rooms, where the hookers (what if they were agents?) could see them.

Last I looked, the Secret Service has been part of the Department of Homeland Security since 2003, which answers to the President through "big sis" Janet Napolitano. The R's are going to get as much mileage out of this as they can. They never let a good scandal go to waste.
