I visited him about 10 years ago and thethick metal bars at the bottom of his stall door were pushed outward from his kicks. I was told that he had recently bit off the finger of his handler. He was quite the character.

Geez. That's really something. Thanks for sharing. You would think having all those mares........he would be happy and relaxed.

Dynaformer comes from a long pedigree of notably "mettlesome and aggressive" horses.

Default Big D

I remember reading a book that had at least a few chapters on Big d and his stud mannerisms and charachteristics. It was really entertaining and explained at least one reason his nickname was "Big D".

I cant recall the book

anyone?
