It matters if a horse (Street Life) came rolling home behind that slow pace, making up 5.5 lengths in the stretch and earning a decent fig while passing almost the whole field.
That field held a tactical advantage over Street Life by virtue of being in front through very slow splits, but he ran over them anyway.

Anyone have the stats for Zito first time off a throat surgery?

In all seriousness, it would be nice if information on procedures like throat surgery, etc. was made available outside of horses on the Triple Crown trail.

The Guy's grandson told you 3 weeks ago that he would have a "scan" this week and they would know more Monday?

Seems plausible. Especially since they already know its a minor setback that may or may not require extensive time off.

Default The Carter

I see nothing fancy here.

It'll come down to Shack getting loose at the top of the lane and Caleb's Posse running him down. Only thing in doubt for me is if Shack will be caught for 2nd by anyone.

Calibrachoa continues to be sharp, but he caught Caleb's Posse less than fully cranked last time (and at 6f) and I see no way he finishes in front of him at 7f.
Jackson Bend may suprise me and crack the exacta. He loves 7f and may get a slice, but seems a cut below the top players. Working very well for Zito.

Calibrachoa to be scratched* as per Jason Blewitt on the National Racing Report.

* Due to quarter crack on his right front

Is Dominguez fit-n-ready today off the injury and only two mounts yesterday?
He's only got two mounts today: in the Comely and the Wood

Does this factor into your handicapping?
