![]() According to Adam Schefter
Filed to ESPN (1): Denver and Jets have encountered hangup in language in Tim Tebow's contract that could nullify trade. (2) If the Tebow trade to Jets falls apart, St. Louis could wind up getting back into play. Sides sorting through details.

![]() Continued:
Tim Tebow has $5 million worth of recapture language, meaning Jets would have to pay back money to Denver. Jets might be unwilling. Complex.

![]() poor sonny. he gets so disgusted when they're calling the games. and old as he is, he probably still would be an improvement over many of the qb's they've had!

![]() If a player with Tebow's skill set only was going to the Jets it would makes some sense from an on the field angle. But because of the circus that surrounds Tebow and the fairly shaky ground that the incumbent QB is on it is an unusual move. Fair or not the outcry will be huge if Sanchez has a few poor games or gets hurt and Tebow plays well in his absence. Of course in NY everything is magnified and QB controversies are a part of life but the name Tebow makes things that much crazier.
Of course neither Sanchez or Tebow is a David Garrard... |

At the NFL combine, Rex Ryan kept telling the NFL Network analysts that he wanted to be the runaway league leader in rushing attempts next season. I know this because I DVR Path to the Draft everyday I doubt things like " outside distractions" and "media circus" or Sanchez's feelings mean anything at all to Rex Ryan. That's all BS anyway to someone like Ryan...and he shows his disdain for it by how he conducts himself and the type of players he has gone after. |

The wildcat doesnt work anymore except for perhaps a play or two a game. Lets not forget that most of Tebow's 4th quarter rallies were after 3 ineffective quarters of stagnant offense. The hardest part of being the runaway leader in rushing attempts is having 2 QB's that the defenses dont consider much of a passing threat. I dont think Sanchez is anymore than an mediocre NFL QB (outside of the top 7 or 8 guys who isnt?) and putting the most popular player in the game behind him on the depth chart just seems like a potentially bad idea especially when that same back up isnt really a better option. Sure if they get off to a 5-0 start it wont matter a damn bit but this could be the move that could be the end of the current team front office and coach if it backfires. |
