It did put McCain in a good light - better than the book did (it left out alot of his famous temper and foul mouth)

Woody as Steve Schmidt and Julianne as Palin ... yes, Emmy's! Outstanding ...

The book covers all of it: Hillary, Obama, John Edwards, McCain ... somebody was saying they wanted to originally do the Hillary-Obama fight for the Dem nomination, but couldn't cover it in two hours, so switched to doing only the 60 days of Palin's national political existence.

I saw the movie on HBO last night. it was great.

The McCain advisors who picked Palin should be ashamed of themselves. Palin has mental issues... and intelligence issues.

It's too bad they picked her.. I really wanted John McCain to be president. He would have done a tremendously better job than obama so far. Why couldnt he just have chosen Lieberman to be his running mate?!?!?

I wonder how accurate this movie is or is it fiction?

i thought mccain was a weak nominee anyway. choosing palin didn't help his cause a bit. it didn't give a good example of his thought process for sure! i thought mccain had too much baggage from over the years as well.
palin is a lightweight. she may look good, but she kills any attractiveness the moment she opens her mouth. she isn't smart, and she showed just how serious she was about being a leader when she quit the governors office halfway thru her term. she's getting the $$ while the getting is good. luckily those who want to listen to her aren't worried about getting an intelligent speech.

Imagine Lincoln running for President with his ugly mug present day. It's nothing more than a beauty pageant. There is no point of return. President Camacho is coming.

As a former used-car salesman I am offended by that outrageous remark!

It's said to be virtually entirely accurate by Steve Schmidt and Nicole Wallace, and other people who were there. It was fact-checked out the wazoo by the director, who got others to fact-check the book. Palin panned it as fake without seeing it or reading the book.

You should read the book, it's very interesting. It exposes John Edwards as ... delusional about his mistress and her child.

I was going to vote McCain, then switched to Obama when McCain chose Palin. That was too irresponsible to do to our country. I'm glad I did now. McCain was a weak candidate, and we'd be in multiple wars now, he's so very hawkish.

Steve Schmidt has apologized for Palin publicly multiple times, and Nicole Wallace said she chose not to vote in the 2008 election, as she could not vote for her side.
