I see. Something sounds fishy there. Wouldn't canadian money coming in effect other tracks the same way? I've also thought that you could calculate the payoffs yourself like you did and that they would be accurate.

Yes, I do these calculations every day and they are always accurate. Sometimes I'm off by 20 cents or so but that's about it. This has never happened before.

The thing about the Canadien money sounds fishy to me too. I'm going to have to look into this.

There is something called "net pool pricing" that tracks have begun using to incorporate foreign currency bets into US pools. It's a recent phenomenom--I first noticed it in August.

Here are 2 links that discuss it:

http://www.nyra.com/belmont/news.asp?id=1758&track=B

http://www.fingerlakesracetrack.com/...net-pool%20%22

New York began doing this in 2005. If this year's Travers had used the old payoff system, Bernardini would have paid $2.20 instead of $2.10 to place. On the other hand, Bluegrass Cat would have paid $2.40 instead of $2.50.

I didn't think it was supposed to affect win payouts, though.

Dun, does not effect win pools, only Place/Show pools. Canadian excuse is bogus here.

The other question that needs to be played is WHY is Rupert playing Remington Park? Even I, who tries to find tracks I have never played and play them to tell people I have placed a wager (Araphoe anyone?) wouldn't admit that I placed a wager in a non-stakes race at Remington

Good luck today guys

I keep track of all the year 2 year olds that I liked that came out of the 2 year old in training sales. There was a Stephen Got Even colt trained by Scot Blasi running at Remington last night that sold for $170,000 that I liked at the Keeneland April Sale. That was the horse I bet at Remington. I bet 4 races yesterday total at all the tracks. I bet one race at Woodbine, one at Aqueduct, one at Hollywood, and one at Remington.
