As much as I love Coachies answer I want to try to answer this too. (It's hard not to be cliche)!

A kidney is a beautiful thought but the reality of it is that it's leeeetle extreme.

I love Hossy and all but I don't know if I'd want to offer body parts.

Agree with the rest but I want to add a few...

With a true friend you don't need to say a word. Silence is never uncomfortable.

They'll tell you when you're wrong but will still love you anyway.They understand you even if they don't understand you (exmp - weird sexual attraction to Rare Bog). (My friends get it even though they don't and they know when to shut the **** up about it).

It's someone you can burst into laughter with because of some endless array of stupid and private jokes.

A true friend knows that if you need them, you don't need them to fix things. That sometimes you need to say stuff to vent and get it out and that you are not asking for anything but for them to listen.
