The pipeline will be reviewed again when they submit those things. The President made sure that his current denial included that provision. BTW - it is the Republican Governor of Nebraska that is leading the charge for delaying the pipeline until environmental threats can be mitigated. Quote:
The black pipeline, below, already exists. If the XL addition is built, that increases the cost to us of moving our own oil in the midwest. This is NOT regular oil pipeline. This is abrasive, tar sand pipeline. It is not the same thing. There have already been 11 spills on the existing pipeline over it's existence. ![]()

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/01/19/us...ng-voters.html Poll Sees Shift in Independent Vote, a Hurdle for ObamaBy JEFF ZELENY and DALIA SUSSMAN Published: January 18, 2012 President Obama opens his re-election bid facing significant obstacles among independent voters, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll, with the critical piece of the electorate that cemented his victory four years ago open to denying him a second term. and further down: “I trusted Obama would bring fresh ideas to the country and improve the economy, even though he was not experienced. It didn’t happen,” said Jay Hernandez, 54, a credit manager from Miami who said that he is not aligned with either party, in a follow-up interview. “If there were another Democratic candidate I might reconsider, but I won’t vote for Barack Obama.” of course, republicans aren't exactly a great alternative: the poll suggests that Republicans have grown less satisfied with their choices. Nearly 7 in 10 Republican voters across the country said they now want more options, a probable reflection of conservative unease about Mr. Romney and the remaining candidates.

Sigh I guess not Nebraska's Republican Gov. Dave Heineman, whose state is a key part of the Keystone XL oil pipeline debate, expressed his disappointment with the final decision the Obama administration made yesterday to kill the project. "I want to say I'm very disappointed," Heineman told POLITICO. "I think the president made a mistake." http://www.politico.com/politico44/2...ke-111473.html

There is plenty more out there, over the past year, about Heineman's opposition. His opposition is why there was supposed to be an alternative plan avoiding the aquafier, which TransCanada did not yet submit, thus why State and Obama have so far not approved Keystone XL. Quote:

![]() so I guess the "cover" is now gone...
"I fully expect we could get it done certainly in the early September, August time frame," the governor told Fox News on Thursday. "I would send the letter back to the president of the United States saying we approve it and if he were decisive, he could turn around and approve it shortly thereafter, well before the November election."

![]() Barack Obama vows to do 'whatever it takes' to grow economy
AFP Jan 7, 2012, 05.08PM IST Tags:white house|united states|Labor department WASHINGTON: US President Barack Obama promised on Saturday to do "whatever it takes" to maintain growth in the US economy as he announced a summit with business leaders dedicated to job creation at home. "This year, I'm going to keep doing whatever it takes to move this economy forward and to make sure that middle class families regain the security they've lost over the past decade," Obama said in his weekly radio and Internet address. ...there must be fine print somewhere that add the caveat 'as long as it doesn't irritate some potential voters'. i know somewhere along the line he said he would do what was necessary, even if it meant only one term. just like all other politicians, when his lips move he's lying.
