Awful weight, lousy barrier for Mufhasa
By Michael Guerin 5:30 AM Thursday Jan 19, 2012 Trainer Stephen McKee will wait until this morning before deciding whether Mufhasa attempts a modern-day weight carrying record in Saturday's $300,000 Telegraph at Trentham. Mufhasa has been allocated a staggering 61kg  for the group one sprint and to make matters worse he has drawn barrier 16.* * * I can't find the barrier draw but I DID look up how many pounds 61 kg is. There'll be other races for him.  The G1 Waikato Sprint next month (which he also won in 2009 and 2011) is weight-for-age, so he won't have such a huge disadvantage in weight. I do like Durham Town now.
