Calumet to stand stallions again; Ice Box retired

Ice Box will stand at $7,500 live foal. http://www.kentucky.com/2012/01/04/2...ame-gives.html Earlier they announced that Cactus Ridge is moving to Calumet, and he'll stand for a $5,000 stud fee. It's been eight years since they've had stallions. Glad to hear they're moving in this direction. I always root for Calumet homebreds out of nostalgia.

Why couldn't Lezcano follow Super Saver up that golden rail?? He had to put on the brakes and then swing out 10 wide?? I had a sizable future bet that was made before the Florida Derby. It would have been a big party at Wynn that night. Uuuughh!!!

He's done enough. Well, actually, he hasn't done near enough. He did cost me $27000 pk4 not showing up for the Belmont.
