Do you honestly think the Jets can afford to have him and Santonio on the same team again? (and when I write "afford", I don't mean $$) It appears Holmes committed the ULTIMATE sin. If he returns, who the hell knows what will happen next year.

The only reason for Ground and Pound to begin with was a rookie qb, and Rex thinking his D was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Sanchez is no longer a rookie, and Rex's fantasy has been exposed. (this isn't toward you Joey, just wanted to get the point across).

I don't want Santonio back. If I had my way, I'd bring back Braylon (provided he's healthy), trade Santonio, draft a Nick Toon type, and go to war with them, Kerley, Plax and Turner. But that's a pipe dream.

I agree with your second paragraph. The defense is just good now, it's no longer elite. We need S and OLB help.

I would love to draft Nick Toon, his father was as under-rated a Super star WR as has ever played the game.

Listening to Rex and Tannenbaum today was a bit disturbing. They both claimed to be disappointed. Disappointment is not winning the Super Bowl. Not making the playoffs is an entirely different adjective.
