I thought that since the SA dirt track was brand new last year, there was not a variant published because there was nothing to compare it against.
Also, looking back at the charts for that day, Privileged ran a 1:08.76, not 1:08 flat as the op seems to suggest. The other winning times that say for 6f at SA were 110.23, 109.3, 109.5, 108.92, and the previously mentioned 108.25. So on that track for that day a time of 108.76 was not exceptional and would not warrant a huge figure. |

SA 9th race winner Frumious ran pretty impressively. He was 2/5th of a second second short of the track record at that distance. That race was very vert competitive on paper and a possible key race. 3 or 4 next out winners to look out for. Jeff Bonde may have his top sprinter for 2012.
