I don't think that anyone here believes for a minute that all ex race horses can find caring homes when their racing days are over. Some horses are down right dangerous and would never make suitable pets or lawn ornaments let alone a riding horse.

I am all for humanely putting down unwanted horses. I'm against slaughter.
