All the money in the world can't change the fact that it's still December in New York. Although for the most part the weather has cooperated. I'm sure Gulfsteam opening a month early hasn't helped their cause either.

As you can see I pretty much completely suck at this now. Shared Heart looking like an easy winner drifts out 10 or 12 paths in the stretch.... LOL.... As a Buffalo Bills fan I expect to be ****ed in the most painful way possible . BRING IT ON

Plus, haven't the slots only been open like 6 weeks? Byk said it best.

This might seem like a silly question, but out of all the meets NYRA holds, wouldn't the inner at Aqueduct be the one affected the least by the cash infusion? Obviously you still have the weather issue, no turf racing and certain distance limitations.

I know the state says NYRA has to run certain days and Aqueduct has to run so there hands might be tied a bit. I would not be pumping up Aqueduct purses though. Like you said, its winter in NY. I would wait and go insane around Wood Memorial time through Cigar Mile day. Let Saratoga run 1 million a day in purses if possible, if not more. Promote Belmont more. I know everyone loves Saratoga, but both Belmont meets have racing thats on par with Saratoga. The actual racing is great.

As I understand it the slot money doesn't kick in until January. I am pretty certain that there will be bigger and better betting races at the Big A after the New Year. Patience, I know we have been waiting for 10 years, but the New Year should bring much better competitive races.

I vote for closing it down for 3 months and have an uber Saratoga meet and pump up Belmont Aqu purses.

If they could do that its 100% the way to go. December 1st through Feb 1st should be dark in NY. They are the only game that matters after the Derby until the BC anyway.
