Is Kobe still Kobe? If the Lakers get both of them are they better then OK city or Miami anyway? Im not sure they are.

Kobe is 33. He isnt going to get better and the tight schedule may not help him. Dont see how they can get Paul and Howard if it took Pau and Odom toget Paul. Doubt Orlando takes Bynum for Howard. What else do lakers have of value to add to deal even if another team was added? I could see them taking Odom/Pau or working a 3 teamer

Not that Im Howards biggest fan because I still dont see him having many low post moves and no real mid range game, but if I could only have 1 it would be Howard. He is just big and is 23-12-4 every single night. He will never ever win a Championship alone though.

Excellent trade. Gashol is a big sopping vagina and Odom is old and has been Kardashianed. He might as well go to Greece and play.

Paul can only improve that team. Those two hoes folded like cheap suits when Kobe was hobbled last year.

Edit: Oh...Typical Stern. That mf'er will be carted out of NBA headquarters on a stretcher. He'll never retire. Never been impressed with the guy. He should give his salary to Magic, Bird, and Jordan. He's been nothing but a distraction the past 15 years.

Of course he isn't the Kobe of a few years ago, but he's still better than 95% of the league. You give him one of the best PG's the game and more importantly a guy who is hungry (which I think Paul is) and it would be a good match. I love Odom, but he's not a young guy anymore. They still need help in other areas, but the Heat showed us last year it's possible to make it to the Finals with 3 players and Juwon Howard.

I wish the Knicks or Heat would have tryed harder to get Greg Oden. If healthy he is instantly the 2nd or 3rd best center in the NBA. Thats if we are even calling Dwight Howard a center. A 1 year flyer on Oden is huge reward and no risk at all.

Portland could match and those teams couldnt offer him a deal they wouldnt match. Dwight Howard is the epitome of center.

He's an extremely black Sam Bowie. Just stop it.

Like I said, lots of big if's. Huge reward though if he could find a way to stay healthy.

These sign and trades should have been killed in the negotiations. If a player wants to leave, let him leave, but there should be a clause that if he is resigning with his original team, he gets an incentive, not one to which he was just traded. The NBA could have provided a form of compensation for free agent losses and avoided this whole mess.

They just said on ESPN that Paul is not thinking of this as done. He has been on the phone for over 3 hours with a union rep and its basicley not over yet.

They were getting 4 NBA starters. Dragovic is a pretty good PG. Martin is a 20+ a night scorer. Scola is a top 7 or 8 PF. Odom would have been their 3. Put them with Okafor and you have a playoff team. Not a deep run playoff team but a pretty reasonable team. As of now they have 6 guys under contract and who is going to want to sign there now?
