We will see. The only time that looks questionable (and VERY questionable at that) so far this meet at Gulfstream is the one 8-furlong dirt race.

Trakus times have an overall margin of error of about 0.04 seconds ... and that margin is increased ever so slightly more because of the tracking device being in the saddle towells instead of on the tip of the horses nose.

As you know -- all horses aren't the same length to start with -- and some times the saddle towell is more forward on a horse like in this picture:



Other times it's back on the horse a little bit more.

The huge advantage with Trakus is that EVERY single horse in the race is timed... not just a set position.

Gulfstream will never have a timing problem again because this will obviously identify it like it did in the 8-furlong dirt race where the timer malfunctioned on the TV feed during the running of the race.
