"SILLY"? Are you out of your f*cking mind? Those privileged dolts parading in front of Paterno's home don't have the balls or the brains to confront that reptile the way he should have been confronted. Holding a pep rally for 'Good Old Joe"? How about going there with torches and a noose.

First, the 28 year old twit who sees this monster raping a child in the shower runs away from the locker. What a f*cking hero. He should have bludgeoned the prick in the shower. No, he is so distraught, he calls his dad for advice, who's first concern is to call the head coach ?????????? Of course. It wouldn't dawn on you to call the police either while this was happening or THE NEXT DAY. And what, they don't have a 911 service in Pennsylvania? No problem, though. The coach will know what to do. He will call the police............or maybe not. Let's call our bosses instead. Somehow these PhD's, these administrators of higher learning, these arbiters of justice, interpret rape as "horseplay". They really had no other choice. If they would have done the right thing, they would have jeopardized the cash cow and all of its glorious athletic achievements. This gutless triumverate couldn't possibly make a more dishonorable decision in a hundred years..............unless they bury this incident and look the other way and make the rapist a "professor emeritus" and give him the keys and unfettered access to his house of horrors dungeon for the next ten years.
And one of the "tough" questions at today's news conference for the new zookeeper..........."Will Coach McCreary be on the sidelines or in the pressbox on Saturday?"..........................I've got a suggestion. How about in a jail cell with his pants around his ankles while he's tethered to the bed with a rather excited 350 lb. bull lifer behind him looking like the State of Pennsylvania just delivered his Christmas present a little early.

That piece of sh*t Paterno knew exactly who that monster on his staff was. He made him the assistant head coach. Sandusky was the heir apparent to the program. Paterno ran a program where the ranks were closed. He knew every detail about his program back in his pre-senility days. That freak on his staff didn't start diddling kids in the shower all of a sudden. Sandusky started his pedophile recruitment foundation in 1977. In 1998, the first formal complaint was filed with the police even though rumors about this bastard were raised four years earlier. Suddenly, a year later, Ol Joe had a change of heart and Sandusky was told he wouldn't be the next head coach. Probably because even an arrogant old f*ck like Paterno knows that "Head Coach/ Pedophile" doesn't look all that appealing on a business card, either to the Friends of the Program or to blue-chip recruits. Instead of handing him over on a platter to the authorities, he orchestrated his sideway advancement to professor emeritus with all the privileges and benefits. Unfortunately, this creep thought benefits included all the innocent childred he could possibly devour.

Why didn't JoPa throw this animal under the bus and drive it over him? I'm guessing in time we are going to find out that Ol' Joe was as dirty as every other football coach in America and creepy Uncle Jerry Sandusky knew every ugly detail and where every ugly skeleton was buried. Why else would a human being with a pulse allow a diseased predator to exit in his midst unless the predator could blackmail him for his indiscretions?

And all this for a football program?
So the proper response for Penn State students is a lynching of an 84 year old man? I'm pretty sure that's just as illegal as raping children in the state of Pennsyvania. The rest of your post is pretty good though and may have merit.

OMG.......Can't........stop........banging........ head.......against.......computer.

Please, for your mental health, don't try to absorb too many deep thoughts in one sitting. You're already laboring under the anchor of that Penn State education of yours. No, the proper response for Penn State students wouldn't be holding a lynching for that 84 year old turd. His bony neck would probably slip out of the noose, anyway.

I don't know what you and your brethren have been breathing for so long in Happy Valley, PA that makes the collective population there miss what the rest of the nation sees so clearly. It is so obvious this place has been ground zero for heinous assaults on children for decades done with the tacit consent of the top administrators of the university and the head football coach. That fact is contained in the grand jury report which will be, no doubt, the first of many ugly reports to come out about these crimes. The people responsible for this consent will face their day in court eventually. Obviously, Paterno hired a crackerjack defense attorney to defend more than his football legacy. When McCreary begins to save his bacon, he will make it quite clear to investigators that he told Paterno exactly what he saw Sandusky doing in the shower to that kid. And at that point Paterno will have no cover for his failure to alert the law enforcement authorities when that assault happened. It will more readily apparent what a scumbag he is when it is confirmed that he chose to evade the tarnish to his hallowed football program rather than do the right thing and erase that monster.

But aside from the actions of Sandusky, Paterno, McCreary, et al., I am more astounded by the rather unified reaction, GENERALLY SPEAKING, of the Penn State community, as a whole. First of all, for those brain-dead students and fans of PSU, this matter doesnt have a damn thing to do with football. This is about hideous crimes committed against children. END OF STORY! Each and every participant in these crimes should pay the price for their crimes. It doesn't make a damn bit of difference if Paterno was the winningest coach in NCAA history and a person canonized throughout Pennsylvania. He kept these crimes hidden. He is criminally responsible!

Second, the majority of students and supporters interviewed at Penn State over the past several days have responded with lock-step uniformity "that JoePa was given a raw deal." Again, are you out of your f*cking minds? If not for the actions of a few logical-thinking administrators who encouraged the remembrance of the victims of these crimes, this past weekend would have been an even bigger pity party for Paterno than it already was. Who gives a sh*t that he was fired? He deserved it. He was lucky he wasn't escorted in cuffs from his home.

Third, what Pennsylvania legal genius there thought it was OK to allow that freak Sandusky to be out on bail. Why hasn't it been revoked? There are more reports that the numbers of victims is going up. Shouldn't someone there even consider the possibility that this could happen again before his legal proceedings begin?

When you belittle folks and come off as some all-knowing vessel of virtue, you do little to advance your argument. You make some good points but they are drowned out by the sound and fury of your needless personal attacks. Rather than call folks names, why not make your points in an intelligent fashion?

I thought it was a very intelligent post and the passion came through loud and clear.

Agree that his passion came through and I respect that but the name calling and degrading the intellect of those who hold different opinions does nothing to advance his points. I didn't find any "deep thoughts" in his tirade but then maybe I'm laboring under the anchor of my limited education and intellect....

"all knowing vessel of virtue?"

Can I get that on a Derby Trail T-shirt? Just put a hex on me and leave me alone.

And again, you resort to a personal attack, making fun of my religious beliefs....hey, I'm use to it but if you want to be "left alone" why post on an internet site? You voice an opinion and folks will respond either in agreement or disagreement. I may be an ill educated, dumb witch in your eyes but I'll continue to respond stating my opinions...if you want to be left alone, don't post.

This seems sinister, Satan and witches and all. I thought Halloween was over. Where's Zaf and his Jesus avatar to brighten this place up?

What happened to the old nut-job Somer that used to opine with those angst-filled, teenage-like reviews of the "Buffy the Vampire" episodes?

I am certain that a scribe of your stature and standing need not concern yourself responding to the crap that I write. Methinks your talents wasted moralizing and whining on the likes of me. Instead, for my perverse pleasure, please recall your fond remembrances of what a pillar of the community Jesse Jackson is? I don't recall being hit on the jaw quite so hard as when mine fell to the top of my desk that day after reading that gem you posted. Nor do I remember laughing as long.

"Making fun of your religious beliefs?" I have no idea, nor do I remotely care, what your religious beliefs are. That witchcraft thing you allude to........religion? Sounds more like a gun club where weapons have been banned. You're in Pennsylvania. Why don't you go milk some cows for the Amish for a few weeks. Maybe they can get you straightened out.

I have never called you "ill educated." I have always found your posts (though completely skewed and totally insane) to be well-written, erudite comments and you a wordsmith with a healthy command of the English language.------And then you used "ill educated"............... And here I thought you wrote more gooder than this.
