just got back to my office from the veterans day ceremonies at the courthouse. five brothers were honored-the flag that will fly from today til memorial day for them. others as well, of course, but they celebrate a named vet on those two holidays.
four of the brothers served in ww 2, the fifth in the korean war. only 2 of the five still alive. also mentioned was the ashley county girl killed last week in afganistan along with a fellow national guard member-she was 19, both died from an ied.
