So you are posting gossip, not facts. A lot of people are saying a lot of things. The grand jury report (link posted earlier in a thread here) has the facts as known so far and there is no indication that Paterno knew more than what was reported to him by the grad asst. This is a sorted mess and the truth needs to come out, then blame can be assessed.

Dude... If Somebody reports an anal rape of a child to me and I go to my superiors and nothing is done in a week I go to the police.Actually I go to the police regardless of what my superiors tell me to do. It really is that simple. I don't know why you must always be the cotrarian in this **** always hiding behind "we don't know all the facts". paterno will be leaving, all reports indicate they are preparing for his departure. and he won't be the only one departing, nor should he be.

sordid mess indeed. one that shouldn't have gone on as long as it had; and who pays? kids. but hey, they were down on their luck, so nobody really cared, did they?


in merry olde england, there was a law about raising the 'hue and cry'...that if a crime occurred, it was the citizens responsibility to report a crime to the authorities. so much for evolution.
