Boise St is trash. This Bama team would destroy them.

Kind of reminded me of US vs. Russia cold war standoff. I know Lee made some mistakes, but he should still be the QB from here on out. Watching Jefferson move an offense down the field is like watching someone pull a train with their teeth.

Les was thinking that although Jefferson wasn't going to put up many points, he wasn't going to turn over the ball either. Les was going to let his D win it for him.

You are correct. Les realized early that our D was stopping them, at least enough to keep them from scoring. He felt this was the way to win this game. Lee is still the QB. He would have made the throw on the busted zone play and they would have put a TD on the board. Bama didnt threaten the end zone.

I'm sure I will get killed for this but if you dont trust your QB to make a single play and you dont have a competent kicker then you probably dont deserve to play in the NC game over a no loss team from a major conference.

i remember the game a few years back with osu/mich, that didn't pan out either. long ways to go before it's all decided.
no doubt some would say how can bama go back-but who deserves it over them right now? it went to ot, no loss in regulation for them.

oh, and go unlv!

Who deserves it over them? Right now Ok St and Stanford and possibly Boise. The game is supposed to be decided on the field like every other sport. Only in college football can you lose and yet still somehow feel like you are getting screwed if a team that doesnt lose gets in ahead of you. OT or regulation an L is an L.

yes, i know it. guess we'll see how things pan out from here.

i'm just glad lsu came out on the winning side of this one. losing a close game like that is a bitter pill to swallow.

I guess horse racing is the other sport where you can lose yet win because of public opinion and other nebulous BS, ie last years HoY vote

Congrats to the LSU ilk.

I would like a new offensive coordinator and a quarterback that doesn't give up on 3rd down. And a kicker. Or some form of audible nanotech that goes in Nicks ear so I can tell him to punt instead of kicking a field goal.

I'm tired of coal.

A rematch would be completely unfair to LSU. Assuming they both win out, because they won this game LSU now has to play a conference title game. Bama doesn't. If there was a rematch, it can only occur if both Ok St and Stanford lose, very real possibilities, so the issue of whether one beaten Bama should be there over unbeaten Ok St or Stanford would be moot. Now, assuming Bama did make its way back to #2. That would mean LSU would be forced to beat Bama TWICE and win the conference title game while Bama would need only to SPLIT with LSU after losing at home. Can you imagine the screaming from LSU fans if Bama won 10-7 rematch on a neutral field and won the title after you beat them at their place? Even worse would be Oregon getting a rematch, a scenario not impossible to see.

Ok St is garbage... I have been telling you this for years, lol. Really though, Oklahoma should blast them.

If they finish the reg season undefeated they deserve to be in the NC game. You hating them probably helps their cause.

Main reasson I made this play.... I think Bama's QB is pretty average, and thats being kind.

today they weren't. lee had done well all year, not turning over the ball. we'd gone quite a while without a turnover, they were costly for both sides tonight. d's played outstanding ball, made both offenses look mediocre at best.

andrew luck will be fine against nfl defenses in a year or two. he'd be okay against either lsu or alabama.

it'll never happen but stanford against either one would be a far better game than what we just saw.

I'm still amazed that a top 5 college program doesnt recruit a kicker. How many close games are determined by FG's? Yeah when you are steamrolling teams with your 27 five star recruits it doesnt matter but Alabama should have won the game tonight if they had a semi-competent kicker.
