Er... no. They're protesting the Wall Street firms, which are not firms that actually make or build anything; they are merely firms that make gambles with other people's money on whether the perceived value of companies that do build and make things will rise or fall. There's nothing ironic at all in protesters using manufactured devices they purchased to tweet and photograph while protesting Wall Street's outsized influence on the USA. Now, if the protesters were calling their brokers while protesting, that'd be ironic.

Thanks for making my point for me: your ridiculous attempt at irony completely fails due to the demonstrable falsity of your assumptions.

You've now changed that assumption to be that "liberal wall street protesters" (false assumption, again) are railing against big companies that create their social media enabling. You clearly have zero idea what Occupy Wall Street is all about, and "who" they are protesting against, and why.

Because that sure as hell ain't it.

Wow, there's those darn "liberals" again, all "loathing and seeking to destroy".

You're not filled with too many proven false assumptive prejudices at all, are you?

Go look at the Forbes list of the current Top 15 Billionaires on Wiki or Forbes. Please note which ones worked for and created their own wealth in this country (oh, those nasty liberals and Democrats!) and which merely inherited it? (why, those are dependable Republican donors!)

I'm so tired of hearing that silly false "liberals hate corporations and wealth and money" whining. It's demonstrably baloney.

Don't get mad just because you've been called out on it. And thanks for hijacking a thread about Steve Jobs to diss those "liberals" you apparently dislike so much.

Er, no. In reality, these morons don't know what they are protesting against. You do realize that those very brokers sell shares in the corporations which build the capitol and worth of the corporations that manufacture and sell the very devices that the morons that are protesting use to communicate to organize their protests?

Do you really think there would be an Apple without Wall Street?

There was an Apple without Wall Street.

You've conflated selling ownership in a corporation (what Wall Street used to do) with gambling (which is what Wall Street does now).

Banging one's head against a wall is a better use of time than arguing against a dolt like you.

I suppose that the chants protesting against corporate greed are against the brokers, not the Fortune 500 corporations, you know some of the same ones who make the devices the protesters use to orgainize their protests. I will reiterate, these protesters don't even know what they are protesting against, but of course, you think you know what it is about because you know everything.

I never said the protests made sense because they don't. Sure there was an Apple without Wall Street, that was in Steve Jobs' garage. The one that sells macs, iphones, ipads and ipods came about with Wall Street.

Oh, as far as highjacking a thread, it is again another irony that the D.B. Cooper of highjacking threads would direct that comment at another.

In reality, you're just repeating the mainstream media's talking points about the protests.

Get back to me on the details of credit default swaps and what that had to do with getting money into the hands of Apple.

The Koch brothers are doing quite well for themselves and their company is entirely privately owned.

No, I am stating the truth regarding these stupid protests which actually disrupt the lives of those of us in New York who work hard for our money, plain and simple.

That money you're working hard for is worthless.

Yes, let's not make assumptions. Those who protest without a clue as to what they are protesting or a permit and illegally disrupt the lives of others must be "dirty." It is not like you ever twist the words of others. You are not a hypocrite, always the victim!

Please - go try to learn just a little something about Occupy Wall Street, and perhaps also the "liberal agenda", before you embarrass yourself further via your ignorant statements.

And perhaps even learn about "permits" and "legally", too, before you throw out more of your nonsensical accusations.

And, you might wanna see somebody about that, "when I get angry with other people, I bring up sex" thing. Creepy weird.

It must be infuriating to royalty when the peasants forget their place.

Oh, I get the logic. If you state that you think the Wall Street protesters are morons who disrupt a city when they don't even know what they are protesting against, you must be an elitist who thinks the poor should rot in hell! Great logic! Let them eat cake!

You are excellently good at regurgitating the talking points the mainstream media feeds you. Apply for a job at CNN. You'd fit right in.
