![]() Bob Baffert hasn't won a Derby in nearly 10 years. His best finish in that time span was Pioneerof The Nile's distant second to Mine That Bird in 2009. Adding in the other Classics, he won the 2010 Preakness with Lookin At Lucky. No other placings.
Meanwhile, Todd Pletcher won the 2010 Kentucky Derby and the 2007 Belmont. He also earned placings with Bluegrass Cat (Derby and Belmont), Sunriver (Belmont), Ready's Echo (Belmont), Dunkirk (Belmont), and Stay Thirsty (Belmont). Certainly, they both know how to get themselves to the Derby. Whether either knows how to get a viable contender to the race in one piece is open for discussion. |
