and of course a superior horse won a bad prep....he could have won the Wood, SA Derby too. I'll leave the Bluegrass out, don't think anyone was beating Sinister Minister that day.

I don't think that the Florida Derby is a bad prep. What's wrong with a million dollar purse?

Granted, only Needles and Barbaro have used the Florida Derby as a prep for the KD and won since 1956, but still... I wouldn't call it a "bad prep."

Personally I love Gulfstream, it gets me through my depression when cfb ends....not only that Mr. Fotis is the man in the late winter/early spring down there.

I can see that your attitude has dramatically improved over the past few days.

And ok, SMARTASS, "last" prep.

never was in question

If all the things that you are saying love
Were true enough but still
What is all the worrying about
When you can work it out
When you can work it

...name that song, dodo

I apologize Dr. Fager. I meant to direct it about Bellamy talking out of his butt. Not you. Again, I apologize.

regardless, we have the derby winner every year!
the breeding in FLA is a far distant second, if even second
and the racing is putrid, plain stinks
I know powerful ppl in FLA, horse ppl, who look to purchase land
so don't tell me I don't know FLA real estate
I'm looking at a book right now that states that Gainesville-Ocala has the cheapest housing in the state
it was written 3 years ago, however, and I know the market changes
and housing isn't the same as acreage
but...low rent housing = low-life characters (Joel C. not included)

To me, the funniest thing about you is that you have failed to note that your screen name is named after a FLORIDA BRED. If that isn't comedy, I don't know what...

I was supposed to ride tonight too...

I'm going running instead, and then Grey's Anatomy is on at 9:00.
