How bad was the ride that JV put on the 2nd place finisher for Carlos Martin?

Seems like Ramon is the only one in NY that can time his move on the Belmont turf courses.

You're not talking about the Manhattan right? Can't be that, so what other ride did he blow on Gio Ponti?

Or is this just about Gomez?

Seriously? What the hell does this have to do with Gomez? Did he ride the horse? If he did, than he rode an over-confident race in the Manhattan instead of Ramon.

Anytime Dominguez gets mentioned you're usually not too far behind with some comment about Gomez. So I figured it was just another non existant Gomez/Dominguez comparison on your part.

I'm not sure I'd blame Dominguez for the Manhattan, but you can. Just for shi.ts and giggles, what should Dominguez have done in the Manhattan?

If anyone, with 20/20 hindsight, was probably guilty of an "overconfident" ride in the Manhattan, it was Javier Castellano on Straight Story.

True, I had JV instead of Ramon on my pk4 ticket today. O well,I should know not to leave Ramon off.

Watched the replay this morning. What was so bad about the ride? Velazquez sat in behind, had a relatively clean trip and just failed to get up. It happens. If there was a questionable ride in the race, it was Lezcano's premature, wide move on Raffie's Rose.
