Homosexuality is illegal in most African countries. Those who show their gay orientation openly often face violence as well as discrimination.???? How ironic is that? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

C Street Kenya Homosexual Congressman Chris Smith And get back to us about what you find. The irony regarding intolerance towards homosexuality in certain African countries, and it's relationship to "christian" American government officials, will astound you, I'm sure.

Where did Chris Smith ever call for gays to be killed? Ever? Or is disagreeing with the right for gays to marry equal to murder in your mind? |

![]() You can't justify intolerance by pointing to greater intolerance by others, what ignorant folks in other countries do has nothing to do with what ignorant folks in this country do. Westboro homophobia isn't as "bad" as radical Muslim homophobia...obviously but so what?

It's the self-loathing I can't stand. A few decades ago we were a proud, great country and now after we've progressed even further we're a bunch a racists and bigots? We are arguably the most diverse, tolerant country in the world and of course we have Westboro fools but overall we're doing just fine especially considering how young a country we are. We need to stop self-analyzing in search of guilt and get back to work. We need a President who understands private business and citizens come ahead of government programs, who puts residents of Joplin MO ahead of Taliban leaders’ bribes, and who understands we are part of the people of the world, not their provider. And considering the money that has been plundered the last 2 1/2 years the last thing we need now is to raise the debt ceiling. Time to start answering those debt collectors' calls and get straight. We've done enough and should be loved not hated for it. Last edited by dellinger63 : 06-26-2011 at 11:06 AM. |

Look. I know you don't read newspapers, or watch news shows. You read the occasion right wing blog that gives you your superficial worldview. But sometimes ya just gotta squeeze out some objective critical thinking, and do a little serious observation on your own.

i've read this post twice and still don't quite grasp what your point was in posting this. what has kenya to do with the u.s. or with new york and it's recent move forward? and by the way, i think we should be a leader in pushing rights for all. i'm embarrassed that other countries are further along than we are regarding rights for some individuals. |
