Canigotoo will never win a race outside of the state of Texas.

I'd bet against that. He can certainly win a race in Louisiana, Oklahoma, or New Mexico.

There are few non-state bred stakes in those states

There are plenty of open company stakes at Remington for 2YOs (3 altogether) and there's another at Zia Park at 6 furlongs, Louisiana Downs only has them on turf as does Evangeline but Delta has some pretty nice open company 2YO races in the fall.

How many of them other than the Zia park race are sprinting?

Two of the three at Remington are sprinting. One at Delta is 7fs around the bullring.

Do you have something against Bret Calhoun?

What kind of odds will you give me on that. Calhoun is a very good trainer that is underated imo. Canigotoo will win in the fall at other tracks, not saying it will be in the BC though, but you never know. It will be interesting to see.

If the horse were with Baffert,Pletcher,or a few other national trainers, people would be raving about him.

Aren't you supposed to give me odds?

We'll find out this Saturday night. He's entered in the Prairie Gold Juvenile at Prairie Meadows.
Shocktime, mentioned later in the thread is entered in the Lassie on the same card. Due to the State shutdown in MN, we're driving down to Iowa on Saturday for a wild night in Altoona, IA.

Based on what I'm reading, you'd better stock up on any Miller/Coors products you like while you're there!! Canigotoo will be short odds-----a wild night in Altoona will be long odds. Enjoy!!

A Giacomo out of a With Approval mare goes 21 1/5th and continues on wire-to-wire?

While I'll be

Funny thing about Giacomo - his dam Set Them Free was a blazing fast need the lead speed sprinter - and it's not like Holy Bull was a plodder either.

Not sure why, but Set Them Free - fast as all hell on the track - dropped one nice plodder after another as a broodmare.

What's odder still is that Holy Bull had a lot of speedy types in his earliest crops, then suddenly his progeny got a lot slower.

Any guess at which track Giacomo had his first offspring win?

He gets another shot today. At least his running style fits the track condition. Thats the only positive I can come up with.
