Default American Idol home visit ends up at Arlington Park

http://mjsbigblog.com/haley-reinhart...ming-media.htm

Over 20 million people will be watching Wednesday 5/18 as the remaining 3 American Idol contestants go for home visits. One of them, Haley Reinhart, is from Chicago, and there was a concert at Arlington Park. Some fan filmed it, and posted links that look like they're fairly tight on the stage itself, but maybe in the actual broadcast of the show they'll show the racetrack a little. I know we don't need to watch Idol to see Arlington, but I mention it because we've had connections to Churchill Downs and now Arlington Park through this show. I file it under good PR, especially with the number of people that watch at this point in the season.

Short of flashing "young people" and "horse racing" in subliminal messages on Glee, this is more of what we talked about that racing can do, and it involves a younger audience. I'd love it if the Jeopardy contestants actually knew the answers for horse racing categories, but it's something that they're even asking the questions.

They did last year's at Arlington as well with one of the guy finalists. American Idol has been racing-friendly with the auditions they did at Churchill when they went to Louisville.
