No, Tiger had an awful trip and would've won the race by 2.

The Calvin Borel thing is actually pretty interesting. Because the KY Derby is far and away the most watched, and thus known, American horse race, Calvin Borel has achieved an almost diety like status among those that don't really follow the game....while those that do know that he is, at best, just another rider with modest success ( albeit at a fairly high level ). This is not to say he's a " bad rider, " per se, but not necessarily in line with our very best riders. Which begs, of course, the question " how is he being considered for the Hall of Fame? "

He was also on the Oaks 16-1 runner-up. He's a very solid handicapper.

After watching the replay for the first time, i have to agree with the bad trip. And some are saying that the rail was bad too, and thats where he was throughout most of the race. On to the Met Mile??
