6th race off turf, Lloyd's race stays on yielding turf.

A dissapointing 8th. Lloyd didn't break sharp and never really got into the race. Hopefully he came back well and just needed one off the break.

Just talked to Gary, and all A-OK post race. Luzzi said Lloyd warmed up great, felt good the whole time and did everything he asked including changing leads perfectly. But Luz also said he just never felt like he was getting a real hold on the somewhat squishy course. Probably worth trying firm turf before concluding anything about his lawn interest, and can likely come back pretty quick with this as a tightener. Luzzi liked him and wants to ride back. Not a great start back but certainly happy to have Lloyd around for some chances in the spring/summer after being confined to winter.

Steve - just dawned on me that it would have been perhaps a softer spot to have Lloyd in one of the maiden dashes over the Atlantic City sod. Did Team Dee Tee consider going south for the comeback at a mile or did you want the New York turf sprint?
