![]() I'm tired of the term "entitlement", being used as if it's a bad word, as if it's something stolen. It's not. Thanks to the far right for that.
It used to mean that Americans and the least fortunate (children, disabled) were "entitled" to peace of mind in their old age or with their disability, were entitled to an old age with health care and devoid of poverty. The "entitlement" of Social Security has dropped elder poverty from around 50% when it was initiated, to virtually nothing now.
