If some ailment were to sideline Uncle Mo between now and the Derby... wouldn't that make for an interesting scenario? A lot of $$$ would be on Dialed In (who would come in a fast closing 2nd or 3rd) and The Factor would have to be a super horse to contend with the pretenders that would hound him all the way on the lead. Who, then

Well, as long as he wasn't hurt, I'm glad.

How come this wasn't reported anywhere?

For a fracture!?

That's ridiculous!

Back in the day, that horse would have been laid up a week or two, aimed to the Derby Trial, and wheeled right back!

Is Astrology still in the Arkansas Derby? I didn't see his name in an article on the race, and you don't have him on the graded earnings list as going.

If he does run, at gets a Beyer of over 90, I'm pretty sure he's the Kentucky Derby winner. The middle move followed by the hang job in the Sunland Park Derby was a dead give away.

Will have to contend with R Heat Lightning, however.

I'm following Astrology closely, wish I knew if he were in the Ark. Derby, he did have a 5 furlong workout at S.A in 1:00 and 4/5th's today. If he doesn't go this Saturday in the Ark. Derby, at least this gives hope he's still on the Derby trail and will prep in a different race

from drf on the arkansas derby:

http://www.drf.com/news/arkansas-der...ng-13-starters

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Alternation on Monday was committed to the Grade 1, $1 million Arkansas Derby – making for a prospective field of 13 – while a little later the same morning probables Brethren, Dance City and Truman’s Commander arrived in town from Florida.

The Arkansas Derby will be run on Saturday, on the final card of the Oaklawn Park meet. Entries for the race are Wednesday. The maximum field size is 14. Others expected to start as of Monday were Archarcharch, Caleb’s Posse, Elite Alex, J P’s Gusto, J W Blue, Nehro, Saratoga Red, Sway Away, and The Factor.

I like Archarcharch in the Arkansas Derby. He finished well, behind The Factor and is bred to run a bit.
