Please tell me a Derby Trailer wrote this one as a joke:

What a sad day at our house. We love you so much and feel like you are part of our family, so unexpected bad news hurts our hearts. We woke up to an email alert from BloodHorse.com to which we subscribe, and I nearly dropped the laptop off my lap when I read their alert that says “Zenyatta, last year’s Horse of the Year for Jerry and Ann Moss, no longer in foal.” So like all teary eyed girls, I reached out to my girlfriends, who are as hooked on you as I am, so we could talk about it like we girls do, and feel better. Just for a second I thought – oh no here we go again with the bitter part of loving someone or something. Then I realized that here, on this blog, there would be people who reach out with hugs and well wishes, and where there would be healing. As I was logged on to this site, I thought – oh yes, I’m sure this news is going to bring out the monster in someone. And sure enough, evil raised it’s ugly head here but just as I know you are blessed, Zenyatta, and held in the Light daily by your connections, I know this blog is a sacred space that will leap over the negative to shine a positive beacon for us in our joys and sorrows. . Mother Nature is a force for Good, so we are holding on to that truth and looking forward to a little Zen at the perfect time. This reminds me of seeing you race. Dead last outta the gate. Around the last turn thinking – oh my God she’s not gonna make it – and then – WINNER! So here we are again with my heart sunken and worried and for no reason. This is Zen being Zen and winning in her own way while we all watch breathlessly. WINNER! . Love and a peaceful prayer to the tiny soul waiting for you in Horsey Heaven, Zen

HAHA even the way people defend their insanity on that site is through more insanity. I almost just fell out of my chair on this one.
Sorry, normally I do not lower myself to respond to ignorant people who have yet to evolve. However, yes – Dottie is the spokesperson. Zenyatta herself is not speaking, in words. However, animals are intelligent, USE tools, are sentient, are capable of problem-solving, are far more aware than most people ever will be throughout their lives, and – if you know anything about a horse, and their wild instincts, you might know that a horse, like a cat, is the only domestic animal that can revert to the wild. This is not conjecture – these are scientifc, biological facts, that have been proven through many years of research, and the research continues to prove even more. Did you know that whales actually have individual names for each other, and they call each other, by their names, using a very complex mode? Do you know anything about the wild horse’s family mode – how important family and freedom are to them? Truly, I think Dottie is right on – and she can ascertain many things about Zenyatta, through their relationship. There is a mode of communication between people & animals, and THAT has been proven again, and again, and again. The people who post here, are compassionate, OPEN to further education, are a support system, and are the type of people others feel happy to have in their lives. Your negative comments are deplorable. As far as Rachel Alexandra goes – I am happy that she is still in foal. She was a tremendous race mare, and I am sure she will be a good dam….However, one just needs to go back and view her last year, ESPECIALLY her last race – and see the agony (boy, were the whites in her eyes prevalent) as Borel repeatedly hit her – to know that – the people responsible for her – treated her – pretty much the way your post goes….Oh – but I am sure you never noticed that. Actually, I feel really sorry for Rachel Alexandra. Her spirit was broken that last year. And, as far as people like you ( I would NEVER do a negative post on Rachel’s site – I have too much class) – I encourage you to – educate youself, grow up – stop the stupid, inane competition (there is room for many great ones), and above all – please realize that condescending comments, based on small thinking.. will never prevail. I thank you. I feel like I'm on the PETA site.
