Pants on Fire is a good illustration of what horses can do when they're allowed to use the natural speed they posses.

Breen said he was entering him "as a rabbit" according to Steve Haskin... his role to make sure entrymate Nacho Business gets enough pace.

Yeah, of course there was a lightly regarded horse entered in the Derby once as a rabbit for his higher regarded stablemate, he too forgot to stop and went on to become the first of 11 horses to accomplish one of the most difficult feats in racing...his name was Sir Barton.

As overhyped as elite Alex has been, I'd love to see what happens if he's given a chance to actually be involved in a race instead of being dropped way back. I don't think he's a one-run horse. I'd rather not see Borel on him, either.

aristides was supposed to set the early pace for cheapeake...that went well!

Haskin also added Thursday on ATR that leading up to the race, Breen was acknowledging how well Pants was doing on his own.
