Just pure horsemanship right there. If you were to make a montage of the sport in its true form right now, there would be that guy. With his pill-headed smile and weasel cackle. It's just poetry.

Breaks maiden easy from the rail. Ships and wins easy in 1:22 flat. No indictments have hit.

Life is good.

If you don't like America, feel free to leave!!!!

I've always wanted to say that.

I'm with Pants and Betsy on this one.

Enough with the chickenshid scratching out of every freaking race in which conditions are not absolutely favorable to your horse.

Those are tactics you see in a second grade playground.

Thieves used to lose their hands as punishment for stealing. Make no mistake, Dutrow is a low-level thief. He lived in a f.ucking stall for crying out loud. He'll do ANYTHING to win. The guy should be in the winners circle waving his nubs. To see that he has all 10 fingers is sickening.

LATE money thrown down on Soldat made him the 7/5 favorite.

I would have never thought Soldat would be the favorite when the gates opened.

VERY disappointed in THAS........ I understand that maybe he wasn't 100%, but he should have run better than he did. If I'm Mott, I don't even consider the Derby with him. I doubt he got anything out of this race, not enough for him to run 1 1/4 miles in May

Soldat was trading actively in betting exchanges at 7/5 early on in the betting ... a stream of fish came along and kept nibbling at the bait and slowly he was trading almost as high as 5/2. With about 2 minutes to go - someone looking to lock in 2.00-to-1 on him came in and offered 4K to layers at that price.

You could have got To Honor And Serve at 2/1 late in the betting. A Soldat backer or maybe a few of them - played it very well in the exchanges.

What's more of an annual rite on DT?

Logo threads for big race days or Betsy insufferably questioning the connections of horses on road to the Derby?

A NY based horse that people are in love with that turns into a Chief Money Burner?

Me whining about Derby preps with short fields?

Too bad I never questioned the connections of THAS........and Crossbow is not on the road to the Derby, lol. You would know from insufferable.......as well as being gutless. If you're referring to Crossbow, I wasn't the first one to criticize his connections, but still you aim your arrows at me. Pathetic.

McLaughlin says there are no definitive plans for Darley Stable’s 3-year-old Crossbow, who was scratched after drawing the rail in the Hutcheson Stakes (gr. II), the race that preceded the Fountain of Youth.

“We were originally thinking of running him (March 5) in the Gotham (Ggr. III) at Aqueduct,” McLaughlin said. “But now it looks like we’ll look at all options.”
