I think some teachers in some districts get it from three directions: administration, disinterested parents who refuse to raise kids that take responsibility for themselves, and mouthy lazy kids. No Child Left Behind ended up doing harm, not good. That was a shame.

But look what the school board is doing in Wake County, North Carolina: they are deintegrating incredibly successful schools.

When the Govt. meddles in things they usually don't get better. Just more expensive.
