What about the private sector - plenty of union employees getting retirement long before they're 65. You're paying for that, as well, in the products you buy.

I'd have to go double check, but once you've served your two years in Congress, I do believe you have the forever guarantee of the health benefits and retirement/pension in your future. Done and dusted.
