New York has gone to the dogs, according to sportscaster Mary Carillo.

And that's a good thing, said Carillo, this year's co-host of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.

Providing dog-show running commentary alongside longtime host David Frei won't be too far removed from the tennis and Olympic events she often narrates.

"So many of the dogs, they really are jocks," said Carillo. "These are trained athletes, and they are judged on that."

We have a Gordon Setter, though they apparently don't get much love at the WEstminster show.

A friend of mine had a Gordon Setter as a pet and hunting companion for 13 wonderful years. He was a great dog. He kept his hair trimmed for ease of grooming, though.

Yes, we don't show him or anything, so his hair is kept short. He's a great dog.

Yeah I would have to shave that breed but I hear they are nice. Irish Setters destroy stuff though.
