no, what typically happens is something is posted, and whoever is on the opposite side attacks the site linked to. facts typically are cited that support one's point of view. people will do a search, and cull the results-link to those they agree with( thus, are true) while ignoring those that offer an opposing view (thus, obviously not true). and yes, some unemployed people are freeloaders. you don't believe that, because you can't grasp the concept-because it's not something you would do, so you don't understand it in others. but some folks are absolutely perfectly content to live on the dole. or, they work under the table for cash to supplement their u/e income. most people who have to file want another job, but some do not. perhaps their spouse works, perhaps they can work with their buddy for cash...who knows? my brother is a freeloader, i find him an embarrassment. he went out on disability from the dcfd for a bad back. they offered him a desk job, but he said he couldn't sit or stand long without pain. so, on the dole he went. my dad offered him part time work to supplement the disability, as he can earn so much per month. nope. as for not sitting or standing for long...he sure spends hours and hours sitting in a wooden chair playing WOW online. and did i mention that he, his wife, and four kids (and two dogs) live with my folks? going on three years...but he's sure proud of that cadillac escalade he drives (arnold palmer edition). but yeah, he can't afford his own place... that mentality exists. saying that all on assistance are milking the system is no truer than saying none are. perfect example of all the glorious debate on here. the truth in so many things lies somewhere in between the polar opposites arguing their point ad infinitum.
