Well a lot of the ones I know voted in a ridiclous manner in some cases. But how can horseracing/NTRA/turfwriters let so many unqualified people vote for year end awards?

Ah, a shocker, Davidowitz and Haskin voted Zenyatta. If they don't have matching "I Zenyatta" tattoos, they should really consider it. I still smile remembering the epic Byk-Davidowitz flare up that they were fine about and other folks thought was "I'll never speak to that fool again" level. Both of them were like "what's the matter?" Haskin got Z hugs and smooches. Can't blame him one bit (if you'll pardon the word choice there). I found it interesting that Bill Nack went for Blame. Some folks I have a lot of respect for, but a whole lot of people are on here I've never heard of. It's like the Hollywood Foreign Press voting for the Golden Globes with a lot of these names.

Hopefully a more qualified group votes for the Hall of Fame. Or am I just getting my hopes up.

Next time Steve has Haskin or Jon White on, I need to remember to call in. This can't be ignored.

That woman is so delusional she needs thorazine.

It wouldn't be so bad if she were just another crackpot blogger in need of attention, but she actually submits votes for the Eclipse Awards. She didn't even back up so much as one of her opinions with any facts. Of course, she can vote for whichever horse she wishes, but she should at least support her views without sounding like she took the brown acid.

Here's my favorite part:

There will never be an end to this argument, that much is certain. But we stood willing and ready to resign from the NTWAB if Zenyatta had not finally been given her long overdue gold trophy.

Congratulations, NTWAB. You've given the honor of submitting an Eclipse Awards ballot to someone whose two qualifications are having internet access and an axe to grind.

Over the past two months, I have read a much quoted statement made by Joe Hirsch: "Horse of the Year can be anything you want it be." Yet, somehow, I can't help but think he might be turning over in his grave from this nonsense.

fu&*in zenyattadatta momos(TM)
I disagreed with everything she said, but my point was that it's scary that someone so "off-the-deep-end" has a vote.

Is it possible that she plagiarized that from a 4th grader?

The HoY means very little in the grand scheme but this is a great example of the flaming incompetence that exists in this sport. How a person with a view of the game like this delusional woman (and presumably her husband as well) can have a say in the determining of our sports year end champions is a disgrace.

If this was a fan only vote who wins?

If this was a media only vote who wins?

If this was vote limited to Jockeys, trainers and owners only - who would win?

If this was limited to handicappers only vote who would win?
