Obama is so far over his skis he feels the recent election was not a statement of his policies but rather how he communicted those policies.

The Harley Davidson story is a very good example how things are going at the moment. I am curious if there will be more jobs in the US in the long term. Can't really imagine that there will be a positive effect on US jobs that will hold for more than a few years.

If Obama wanted to visit a foreign country, why not just go to California?

He speaks Spanish, right?

That is the story big business has to sell to avoid an absolute riot like that in France.. Most Americans believe what they read/see in the media. The reality is it cuts costs so the big boys can cash in and get out of dodge, there will be zero positive affect. Meanwhile the jobs shipped away means there is even LESS money in the hands of the populace to purchase goods and services thus the economy continues to suffer. politicians being the whores they are will take big business word at face value in exchange for a contribution or 2. This country continues to circle the drain.

Most Americans are too fat to protest.

Meanwhile we have newly-elected GOP governors canceling in-progress high-speed rail projects in their states. America falls further and further behind in the world.

Let's see how much further we fall behind the world when we cancel all foreign aid. We'll see how many luxuries like high-speed rail those guys can afford when they don't get our money, nor our protection via our armed forces.

Your right we should allow the government to force us to build a "high" speed rail system from Milwaukee to Madison that will be slower than using a car and that will end up costing ridiculous amounts of $ because it will not support itself. Not to mention the fact that our lovely governor doyle gave the no bid contract to a company from Spain and didn't even give local WI companies a shot to bid the contract. High speed rail is exactly what we need here! Thank god for Scott Walker telling the government the way it is. Give us the $ for real things needed like fixing the exisiting highways that people actually use. If your roof is leaking in your house would you spend your money on a vaction instead of fixing your roof?
