It's pretty funny how you always read things the way you want to read them. No one's talking about free passes. You made that up.

Democrats lost independents and democrats because they feel nothing got accomplished the first two years. This is my point. There's no republican plan for anything. It's essentially 'let's make rich people richer again and stop healthcare.' And the ever ambiguous 'cutting spending.' Often by recommending tax cuts. Which still makes no sense. That's not going to win them anything in 2012, sorry.

You're so bad at equivalents it's crazy.

What's the republican plan for creating jobs and lowering the deficit? What are they going to do that Obama hasn't done? I'd really like to know.

The Bush tax cuts that they want to renew didn't benefit rich people disproportionately?

I'm still waiting to hear the Republican economic plan. You must know it.

"The Boehner plan would bring federal spending back to 2008 levels, excluding national-security expenditures and programs for seniors and veterans, such as Social Security. That means some big one-year cuts (about $100 billion worth, according to House Republicans) in an Obama budget proposal that totals $3.8 trillion in spending for 2011.

Potential cuts, according to ideas put forward this year by Republicans within the House Budget Committee, could include canceling stimulus projects for which money hasn't yet been committed, freezing federal salaries temporarily, or hiring only one federal worker for every two who retire."

also you do realize that the rich are the same people who employ us middle class folks? if the govnt takes more of their money to waste it, will those rich people hire more workers?

or do you want all the new jobs to be government jobs?

and you know a lot of republicans are for cutting spending across the board. including military.

It is also important to look out for the future, not just the present. We cant keep borrowing and spending like we are and expect everything to be okay. We shouldnt spend more than we bring in.

Bush started this massive spending spree and Obama is taking it over and increasing it. They are both terrible presidents.

Newt should be the guy for 2012.. and Hillary is the Dems hope. She's actually knowledgable and experienced.

It's been proven over and over that rich people generally hoard money and export jobs no matter what, they don't put the extra money back into the system, but that's another debate.

That plan doesn't tell me how they're going to create jobs. It says they're going to trim 2% of the budget (according to them) and bring spending levels back to 2008 (even though Republicans constantly assert that Bush spent way too heavily too) except for a bunch of other stuff.

It's just red meat for people who hate Obama. That's not a plan for fixing the economy.

Hearing Obama speak about the great communicators Reagan and Clinton as he was saying "uh uh uh" makes me think he missed that day in speech class.
Bullshyte aside it is a fact that this country had a bigger surplus of revenue when there was a Democrat(Clinton) as president and the Republicans were in charge of Congress. Perhaps the current president should take look back at that and see how it the elected officials made it work.

democrats lost independants because independants didnt like the direction the dems were taking us on. not that they didnt accomplish enough. they dont even agree with what was accomplished.

dems might have lost other dems because they didnt accomplish enough. but do you really believe a that kind of Dem would vote for a republican? if anything it just made them stay home and not vote.
