Despite John Sherriff's less than white teeth (maybe it's from his share of Guinnes Stout), I like him. He loves his charge and isn't afraid to get all gushy about her. I find nothing wrong with that. I did kind of smile when Mike Smith said through misting eyes that no stallion was worthy of her.

C'mon folks, lighten up. It's hype, and it's only the beginning should she win the Classic. Get used to it or just tune off everything horseracing, because 99% of it will be slathering over Zenyatta until well after the Eclipse Awards.
I kinda thought it was a little creepy.

All a matter of perspective. I'm certain the Zenyatta fans thought it was just wunerful. Another racing forum has not one negative thing to say about the show. Go figure!

After laboring through Secretariat without walking out of the theater, I can pretty much sit through any flavor KOOL-AID the TB industry/media/and entertainment shows choose to heap on the masses.

Actually no, a couple heavy duty 'will pound you into silly putty if you disparage the queen' people I follow on Twitter hated it. They thought it made everybody sound silly and was too puffy. They said Zenyatta deserved a harder hitting analysis because it just felt like a yes-piece (as in a 'yes man'). I think they figured it overdid it, and people wouldn't fully appreciate her awesomeness because it didn't seem real. So a Zenyatta fan bit into that 60 Minutes cream-filled donut and said 'my God, that's too rich' apparently.

Actually, yes... I said another forum didn't have a negative word about it - not EVERY forum or every person - Zenyatta fan or no.

You said "I'm certain the Zenyatta fans thought it was just wunerful." Not all of them did, and it occurred to me to share the ones I knew of because they instantly came to mind. I don't care what forum you're thinking about in your head, I wasn't referring to whoever those people are. I spoke to my own experience and referred to two people I thought would have thought the special was God's gift to television. They didn't. I don't really care if Forum X has nothing but sugary things to say about Zenyatta. I'm not a member of said forum I'm sure, so why do I care?

I should have used a dash instead of a period between my 2 sentences. I can only base what I think upon my personal observations and communciations. I have yet to collect a comment from all Zenyatta fans.

Why should you care what other people say elsewhere? I don't care if you care. But, it is refreshing to know that there are at least two Zenyatta fans who can remain objective about the hyperbole.
