![]() Halladay is the best pitcher of my lifetime. It's a shame he hasn't been on a contender until this season. He might as well have been pitching on Mars all these years. What a monster.

![]() Probably, but I prefer Halladay's body of work. Pedro's year in 2000 was the best single pitching year of the past 20 years though.

There's seriously not even a question about who has the best rotation in the playoffs right now. Oswalt is playoff-seasoned and Hamels looks like the 08 version instead of the 09 sissy that got banged around. |

![]() Is he even better then Lee?
|

![]() It's not even close. Lee's had 3 pretty good years. His career ERA is just under 4. Halladay's resume blows his out of the water and he's finally getting to show what he can do on a contender. Meanwhile, Lee is 5-6 since being traded to Texas.

![]() CL's performance in the playoffs last year was nothing short of spectacular.
That what RH will be measured against. Needless to say, he's off to a hell of a start. Just the second no-hitter in playoff history … WOW |

![]() I think CL performance today was HUGE. Against a much better offense then Cinci as well.

Lee 48-24 2.98 Halladay 58-31 2.67 No comparison, although Lee's postseason record speaks for itself. (granted, Lee playing half of 2009 with Cleveland and half of 2010 with Seattle likely affected his win total but Toronto in 2008 and 2009 wasn't the greatest team on the planet either.)

Clemens and Maddux had far better careers and higher peaks. Pedro had a 7 year run better than anyone in baseball history has ever had. Randy Johnson won 5 Cy Young awards and finished 2nd 3 times. Tom Glavine won 2 Cy Youngs and finished in the top 3 6 times. Halladay's last few seasons have been very good. If he pitches as well over the next 3 or 4 years he will join the above group. Being that he is going to get a steady dose of the Nationals, Marlins and Mets in the NL East it looks good for him. |

![]() Lincecum was arguably better than Halladay yesterday. Giant leap of logic, but 31 swings and misses. The most in the regular season in any game by a pitcher was 26. The postseason pitching has been ridiculous.

![]() My 2 first round picks not looking so good at this point. We'll see. Some major pitching performances this post season. As we get years away from the steroid era it is amazing how much pitching has improved.

Even with the lengthened commercial time between innings, the Halladay game took 2:34 and the Lincecum game took 2:26. |
