Is it safe to say that the turf courses will be good/yielding because of the rain?

If so, I think Never On Sunday for Biancone has a chance at 12/1.

I think Ave's intriguing on soft ground and the Japanese filly, who should kill these by 10 on paper, is suspect over it.

That is what I was thinking in regards to the Red Desire, still think she is a must use but saving with Changing Skies (3 good performances over a cut in ground) and Keertana (always shows up).

Shared Account is also a horse that has excelled with give in the ground.

For the Joe Hirsch, I think the 1 Grassy (Gomez aboard after just winning on Telling), 2 Never on Sunday (won G1 at Longchamp on soft going), Paddy o' Prado (not keen but was looking for a fourth horse) and Winchester are the horses for me.

I will play Never on Sunday Win/Place as he would be my bet of the day if he goes off at >10/1

Dominguez also sticks with Strike a Deal instead of Grassy, so are you using him too?

Dominguez rides for both those guys and chose Strike a Deal??

IMO, there is no way Gomez is getting off Telling, a multiple G1 winner, for a non-stakes winner unless he thinks the horse can run decent in this spot, Hobby would have never made that change as in the time he was at Arlington, he would stick with specific riders to no end. Note that Grassy has one good soft performance also.

Yeah, it's real far-fetched that Dominguez would choose a multiple G2 winner over a dreadfully disappointing Clement allowance horse who just got crushed by this same field with no excuse. There are plenty of scenarios where Gomez could've lost the mount on Telling and no plausible one where he chose Grassy. He's got no competitive race.

Useless information but he has the distinction of giving Goldikova the biggest beating of her life last year

Treat Gently is an interesting entry in the turf classic.

It's just a distance thing. . . and a bad idea. She would need everyone else to fall over.
