I would really think that each situation is different. And a lot has to do with self confidence also. You just kind of have to get the attitude that you dont give a fucl< what anyone else thinks, its your life not theirs.

But being an 18 year old boy, just leaving home and starting college.. to be humiliated like that is so terrible. He was probably struggling with coming to grips with his own sexuality, let alone have him and another man broadcasted on the internet. I can see where he hit rock bottom. Doesnt mean he was mentally ill... maybe he just didnt think he could over come this.

Too many high school and college kids put too much stake into the present, and not the future. This poor kid didnt realize that after a few weeks, nobody was going to care or even remember this incident, and that he had 60 + years of living to do. And not just gay kids... basically all high school kids, and some college kids put too much weight on what others think of them. I'm sure it leads to a lot of depression.

I wish this kid would have realized what was going on... aimed the money shot right at the computer camera.. then taken the computer to the nearest window so Kumar could have watched his computer crash into the concrete. Then knocked the guy out next time he saw him. Its hard for an 18 year old gay kid to have that kind of attitude though. You grow up learning that being gay is a sin... its unacceptable / perverted behavior.. your church doesnt support it and talks out against it... you feel like you should be ashamed at yourself. Its a sad attitude to have, but it begins with the people raising you & the community around you.
